Fishers Island Yacht Club

Fishers Island New York

FORTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL BULLSEYE NATIONALS

July 25-27, 2008

Where is Fishers Island? Fishers Island is a few miles off the coast of eastern Connecticut. The closest town is Noank. Arrangements have been made for visiting contestants to put their boats in the water at SPICER'S SHIPYARD in Noank. To get to Spicer's from Interstate 95, take the Allyn Street exit and follow Allyn Street until it merges with West Mystic Avenue. Take a right and go two miles to Noank. Turn left at RR Bridge into Noank. Take an immediate right on Ward Street, then right on Main Street, left on Terrace Street and right on Marsh Road. You will be at Spicer's. A representative of the Fishers Island Yacht Club will be there to greet you on Friday afternoon the 25th. Towing to Fishers Island will be provided. Spicer's phone # is 860-536-4978.

Housing: Guests will stay in the homes of Fishers Island Yacht Club members.

Meals: Breakfast on Saturday will be at the Yacht Club and on Sunday will be with hosts in their homes. Lunch will be at the Yacht Club for all skippers and crews both days. There will be a reception and dinner Friday night, and a banquet on Saturday night. Your registration fee covers the cost of all meals for skipper and one crew member.

Check In: Any time after 1400 at the Yacht Club at West Harbor. If delayed, call the Yacht Club (631-788-7036)

Launching and Haul-Out: Boats must br launched on Friday at Spicer's Shipyard before 4:00 p.m. The shipyard will be prepared to haul boats out on Sunday afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. The cost for in/out will be $100. There will be an extra charge if boat is not fitted with a lifting ring. Protected parking for cars and trailers for the weekend will be provided by the shipyard.

Moorings: A few moorings may be available, but be sure to bring your ground tackle. The holding ground is excellent.
